The report at 6:00 pm today, declared 25 new cases of covid-19 ,bringing the total in Ontario to 214. That, of course, is the confirmed cases. There is over 3,000 tests waiting for results. The border between Canada and the United States is now closed to non -essential crossings.
My car sits in the driveway with a full tank of gas. Yesterday, after Ontario declared a state of emergency, my work decided it would be best for us to go home and self isolate. So here I am, at the end of day 1, lying in my bed with my laptop blogging about my day. It was tempting to go out today. You know, just a quick run to the store for something, but I didn’t really need to go anywhere so I stayed home as suggested.
How did I fill my day? I did some laundry and crocheted. Talked to my daughter on the phone and spent time texting friends. I found it interesting that from inside my home there seemed to be nothing different with the world. Cars still driving past the house, mail being delivered, birds singing and dogs barking. The only real difference was that I wasn’t at work.
Tomorrow I plan on doing some organizing and get in some excercise. I will do my morning journaling and gratitude practice and try to find the good in the world.
Love you auntie chelle💖💖 we are on day 4 here, other than driving down the road to feed moms kitties yesterday I have been shut in with my babies! Tony still has too work though as he works for the city of Toronto in water sector, his boss said they are emergency services so they bring lunch and stay in the dirt, using portable toilets is the worst for him.. but atleast the sidewalks are clear and people are out of the way🤷♀️❤ hope you are well.
