Today they announced 476 new cases in Ontario bringing the total now to 13,995. Do you remember when I was posting a lot lower numbers? Well, that was only just over a month ago. Hard to believe!

I honestly didn’t think, when all this started, that thirty-nine days later we would still be in self-isolation. I’m not sure any of us knew how this was going to play out and change our lives. If I think back to the beginning of this year, there is no way I could ever have pictured life as it is now. So much has changed in such a short time. It leaves me to ponder what our future is going to look like. I have seen posts on social media predicting the future outcome. In reality though, nobody knows what our new “normal” is going to be.

Stressing about the future causes anxiety and honestly, it is not something I can control. So, I have chosen to make the best of my days through writing, education and working on professional development. It helps to spend this time doing something positive. Learning and growing can never be a bad choice.

We have had to find new ways to connect with loved ones. This is a picture of us “visiting” two of our granddaughters. We dropped them off a surprise and this is how we got to see them. Not hugging feels so weird and it is the longest I have gone without spending time with my four granddaughters. Yes, it is hard but it is what we need to do to make sure we all stay safe. I know I am not alone in making sacrifices.

I don’t know how much longer this is going to go on, nobody has that answer. All I can do is be thankful everyday that I remain healthy and that none of my friends or family have come down with this virus. That in itself is truly a blessing.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy

Michelle
