Ontario had 135 confirmed cases today bringing the total now to 993.

I am not even sure what day it is anymore. I find myself having to check my phone just to double check. You see, I am a creature of routine, and I am feeling lost, now that my routine has been changed. I ventured out into the sunshine this afternoon with my dog. People were outside walking, jogging, and riding bikes. It was easy to forget the craziness going on in the world.

I am going to try and not tune into the news so much. I have found that I have become addicted to wanting to always know what is happening. Instead I am going to look for all the good things that are happening.

So here is a list of the positive things that I have found today:

  • groups are popping up on facebook connecting people from all over the world.
  • stories of neighbours reaching out to each other and checking on each other.
  • groups of people coming together to spread happiness with smiley faces and positive quotes.
  • having to slow our pace down and not be so hurried all the time.
  • a world wide appreciation of all essential workers, that in the past, we took for granted.
  • Churches taking their services on-line so all can attend.
  • families starting new rituals. (my husband and I now video our granddaughters every night to read them a bedtime story).
  • making our seniors a priority and letting them shop at stores first.

What good are you able to see? Let’s focus on the positive instead of the negative. It is all mindset. I saw a quote on facebook today that stated “your are not stuck at home, you are safe at home”

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy,

Michelle
