Last May and June I found myself longing for the days of summer. Like most people, I couldn’t wait for vacation time, bonfires, camping, swimming, etc. What I had forgotten was the hectic pace, summer now seems to be.
When I was younger, it felt as though a whole lifetime occurred during those summer months. So much could change in just one summer vacation. Now that I am older it seems to go by so fast. This past summer, making plans to get together with friends, was a constant challenge, my dance card was full. It wasn’t until this last holiday weekend, that I found myself able to stay at home and take a breather. My planner was actually empty for the first time since June.
Even though my summer flew by, it was packed full of wonderful experiences, and that I wouldn’t change for anything. I am hoping for a less eventful September, but with my daughter”s wedding at the end of the month, I feel it is going fly by as well.
