by I read this book on my way to Nova Scotia. This book is number 25 of a series but I believe that you can just pick up any of these books and be able to enjoy the story. If you are like myself and love to follow the lives of the characters then you would enjoy reading this series in order.
Alex Cross is a detective that finds himself on the wrong side of the law this time. He is suspended from his job and accused of being a trigger happy cop. You find yourself following Alex through trying to prove his innocence and also risking everything that he holds dear by helping his ex-partner solve some crimes.
James Patterson tends to write action packed chapters that are also nice and short and quick to read. This tends to make it a great book for busy lives and beach days because you can easily finish a chapter each time you pick up the book. Although, I dare you to try and just read one at a time.
